Proposed Amendment to Zoning By-Law Z-501 for the Town of Woodstock Public Hearing

 Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Woodstock intends to consider amendments to the Town of Woodstock’s Zoning By-Law at its August 20, 2024 special meeting at 6:30 pm in Sam's Room at the Ayr Motor Centre, 105 Connell Park Road, Woodstock, NB.

The amendments can be inspected by any interested person at the Town Office during regular business hours until August 20, 2024. The proposed changes are as follows: 

BY-LAW # Z-501.01, A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW #Z-501, A Zoning By-Law 

BE IT ENACTED by the Town Council of the Town of Woodstock under the authority vested in it by the Community Planning Act, S.N.B. 2017, c. 19, as follow:

The Town of Woodstock Zoning By-Law, being By-Law # Z-501, made and passed on February 27, 2024 and filed in the Carleton County Registry Office on May 27, 2024, as number 44970920, is hereby amended as follows:

1. Section 3 DEFINITIONS, is amended by:

 (a)  Adding the following definition immediately after the definition of “floor area”:

 “food processing” means the use of land, buildings or structures for the purpose of making or converting food products, and may include a retail component where products are offered for sale directly to the public.

 Section 11.1 PERMITTED USES (Industrial Zone), is amended by:

 (a)  Striking out “and” in paragraph (s).

(b)  Inserting “food processing facility, and” immediately after paragraph (s) which will become paragraph (t).

(c)   Renumbering the remaining paragraph as paragraph (u).
